Wanna Volunteer?
Space City Camp’s unique structure means we plan around you. Volunteers can lead one of our monthly workshops or teach at our annual summer camp. At our camp, you can judge rounds, deliver lectures, lead lab sessions, or host 1:1 office hours with students. Space City Camp lets you choose what you want when you want to.
How to Help
-
Volunteering to host one of our monthly workshops is the lowest commitment service we offer. All you have to do is commit to a single 1-hour lecture. You decide the topic, the time, and the date. You can lecture on fundamental skills, concepts, or content lectures. You give us your time. We give you the audience.
-
Volunteering for the Cyclical Coaching Initiative (CCI) is a one-month long commitment spanning the month of May. In preparation for NSDA, you will be paired with a high-school student as a mentor, offering weekly coaching sessions. You decide when you meet, and for how long.
-
Space City Camp's annual summer camp has been our longest running service. Typically hosted in July, our camp uses dozens of volunteers based on their availability. As a volunteer, you can choose between a variety of options including
Judging (WSD & EXT)
Office Hours
Lab Leading
Live Lectures
Async Lectures
As always, we tailor to your availability. We will never overbook you.
